"It has become clear there is a new religion that has begun to spread across America at an exponential rate.
Some say that this religion can be traced back to the beginning of time, and that its characteristics can be seen throughout history. Its existence has grown since TV and movies have become popular. Most of the worshippers of this religion are females, but men have succumbed to its power as well. This religion is Celebrityism and it is taking over.
Celebrityism, stated simply, is the worship of celebrities as some sort of demigods, watching their every move and looking up to them as if they are something more than humans."

Find yourself reading celebrity magazines more than the newspaper?
Can you name at least 5 celebrities who are constantly in the lime light?
Or perhaps you look up to and emulate the fashion trends of your favorite star or designer?

This community was created to allow people like yourself to discuss celebrities and all that is Hollywood. Here we talk about gossip, events, news, music, movies, and anything you can think of pertaining to celebrity life!

A Few Rules:

- You can talk about anything you feel like as long as there is some connection to a celebrity! Celebrities include: Actors/Actresses, Musicians, Models, Designers, Reality TV stars, Professional Athletes, Directors, Broadway stars, etc. Basically anyone in the entertainment business. Please do not talk about other well-knowns such as politicians, religious leaders, CEOs, etc.

- Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. So if someone decides to rant about how much of a slut so-and-so is, or how much they want to have sex with what's his name, state your opinion maturely. Do NOT flame or get into a drama-fest a la Mean Girls!

- Practice safe reading. This means that no matter how much you want to believe the media, make sure you keep the option open that they could be wrong. Look at the story of TomKat when someone stated they broke up when they really didn't! Now no one knows what's going on. Just take everything with a grain of salt.

- Have some icons you want to share? Great! Just please use an lj-cut when posting more than 3 icons, and make sure your icons stay on topic! Posts that include icons that have no relation to celebrities will be deleted.

- No advertising! The only way I will let you advertise is if you want to inform people about another celebrity-type community. If you are unsure, let me know.
